Frequently Asked Questions about Our Worship Services

When do you gather for worship?

Our morning worship service is at 10:30 AM Sunday School for all ages starts at 9:15 AM.

Summer Hours: 9:30 AM   Memorial Day Weekend up through Labor Day weekend. No Sunday School during Summer Hours.

How should I dress?

Most would answer that casual/dressy.  We dress according to our own individual styles and tastes. Many women wear dresses and a few men wear a tie. We are generally a casual group and many men wear jeans and many women wear slacks. Teens usually dress more informally.

Where should I sit in church?

You may sit wherever you please.

How will I know what's going on?

We provide a worship bulletin (a program) that outlines the worship service.  Generally you will stand to sing and sit the rest of the time.  The pastor will give instructions for everyone during the service. No one is expected to know "the next thing to do" nor to know the songs "by heart."  You will be able to follow the service with ease.  Songs are on Powerpoint.

If I come to a worship service, will I be asked to stand and identify myself?

No, we welcome our guests informally, but we do not wish to embarrass them.

Do I have to give a contribution?

No. The offering is an opportunity for our regular worshipers to share in the work of this church.

What about my children?

Care for children up to 5 years of age is available during worship service and during the Sunday School hour in the nursery, which is located in education wing of the church.  Older children sit with their parents.  If you prefer, you may keep younger children with you during the service, too.  During the worship service a young person will carry a yellow banner, which is a signal for children ages 3 through kindergarten to go to Children's Church where they learn about God at their level.

What are the worship styles at Faith Community Fellowship?

Our worship services are a blend of contemporary and traditional music.  We borrow elements from both high liturgical churches and from non liturgical churches. We have several worship teams and each team brings a unique style and flavor.

Do you offer Sunday School?

Education classes for all ages meet at 9:15 AM from the week after Labor Day until the week before Memorial Day.  Because we lack for education space, we use classes in the 7th Day Adventist church next door, and we also have classes in the pastor's home.
